Likely Benign for Familial isolated arrhythmogenic right ventricular dysplasia — the classification assigned by All of Us Research Program, National Institutes of Health to NM_024422.6(DSC2):c.906C>T (p.Gly302=), citing ACMG Guidelines, 2015: This synonymous variant does not change the amino acid sequence of the DSC2 protein. However, computational splicing tools suggest that this variant may impact RNA splicing. To our knowledge, functional studies have not been reported for this variant. This variant has not been reported in individuals affected with cardiovascular disorders in the literature. This variant has been identified in 9/251440 chromosomes in the general population by the Genome Aggregation Database (gnomAD). The available evidence is insufficient to determine the role of this variant in disease conclusively. Therefore, this variant is classified as a Variant of Uncertain Significance.

This study involves interpretation of variants in research participants for the purpose of population health screening. Participant phenotype was not available at the time of variant classification. Additional details can be found in publication PMID: 35346344, PMCID: PMC8962531
