Pathogenic for Exostoses, multiple, type 2 — the classification assigned by Labcorp Genetics (formerly Invitae), Labcorp to NC_000011.10:g.(?_44206793)_(44206959_?)del, citing Invitae Variant Classification Sherloc (09022015): This variant is a gross deletion of the genomic region encompassing exon(s) 10 of the EXT2 gene. This deletion is out-of-frame, and is expected to create a premature termination codon and result in an absent or disrupted protein product. Loss-of-function variants in EXT2 are known to be pathogenic (PMID: 10679937, 19810120). This variant has not been reported in the literature in individuals affected with EXT2-related conditions. For these reasons, this variant has been classified as Pathogenic.
