NC_000003.12:g.(?_37011810)_(37014554_?)del was classified as Pathogenic for Hereditary nonpolyposis colorectal neoplasms by Labcorp Genetics (formerly Invitae), Labcorp, citing Invitae Variant Classification Sherloc (09022015): This variant is an out-of-frame deletion of the genomic region encompassing exons 7-9 of the MLH1 gene. This is expected to create a premature translational stop signal and result in an absent or disrupted protein product. For these reasons, this variant has been classified as Pathogenic. Loss-of-function variants in MLH1 are known to be pathogenic (PMID: 15713769, 24362816). Deletions of exons 7-9 have been observed in several individuals affected with Lynch syndrome (PMID: 14729822, 16423994, 20587412).
