NC_000023.10:g.(?_132795738)_(133119496_?)del was classified as Pathogenic for Wilms tumor 1 by Labcorp Genetics (formerly Invitae), Labcorp, citing Invitae Variant Classification Sherloc (09022015): Loss-of-function variants in GPC3 are known to be pathogenic (PMID: 12713262, 17603795). This variant is a gross deletion of the genomic region encompassing exons 1-6 of the GPC3 gene, which includes the initiator codon. The 5' end of this event is unknown as it extends beyond the assayed region for this gene and therefore may encompass additional genes. The 3' boundary is likely confined to intron 6 of the GPC3 gene. This is expected to result in an absent or disrupted protein product. This variant has not been reported in the literature in individuals with GPC3-related disease. For these reasons, this variant has been classified as Pathogenic.
