Pathogenic for Citrullinemia — the classification assigned by Labcorp Genetics (formerly Invitae), Labcorp to NC_000009.12:g.(?_130464091)_(130464187_?)del, citing Invitae Variant Classification Sherloc (09022015): This variant is an in-frame deletion of the genomic region encompassing exon 6 of the ASS1 gene. It preserves the integrity of the reading frame. A similar deletion of exon 6 has been reported in combination with another ASS1 variant in an individuals affected with citrullinemia (PMID: 2615645). A missense variant (p.Asp124Asn) that lies within exon 6 has been determined to be pathogenic (PMID: 16475226, 27287393). This suggests that deletion of this region of the ASS1 protein is causative of disease. For these reasons, this variant has been classified as Pathogenic.
