Pathogenic for Desbuquois dysplasia 1 — the classification assigned by Labcorp Genetics (formerly Invitae), Labcorp to NC_000016.10:g.(?_17108675)_(17470816_?)del, citing Invitae Variant Classification Sherloc (09022015): A gross deletion of the genomic region encompassing the full coding sequence of the XYLT1 gene has been identified. The boundaries of this event are unknown as the deletion extends beyond the assayed region for this gene and therefore may encompass additional genes. A large deletion encompassing 3.3. Mb and including the XYLT1 gene has been reported in combination with another XYLT1 loss-of-function variant in an individual with a XYLT1-related disease (PMID: 26601923). Loss-of-function variants in XYLT1 are known to be pathogenic (PMID: 24581741, 26601923). For these reasons, this variant has been classified as Pathogenic.
