Pathogenic for Epilepsy, childhood absence, susceptibility to, 1; Epilepsy, childhood absence, susceptibility to, 5 — the classification assigned by Labcorp Genetics (formerly Invitae), Labcorp to NC_000015.10:g.(?_26567561)_(26629023_?)del, citing Invitae Variant Classification Sherloc (09022015): This variant is an out-of-frame deletion of the genomic region encompassing exons 4-7 of the GABRB3 gene. This is expected to create a premature translational stop signal and result in an absent or disrupted protein product. For these reasons, this variant has been classified as Pathogenic. Loss-of-function variants in GABRB3 are known to be pathogenic (PMID: 26950270, 28053010). This variant has not been reported in the literature in individuals with GABRB3-related conditions.
