Pathogenic for Landau-Kleffner syndrome — the classification assigned by Labcorp Genetics (formerly Invitae), Labcorp to NC_000016.10:g.(?_9890966)_(9891120_?)del, citing Invitae Variant Classification Sherloc (09022015): This variant is a gross deletion of the genomic region encompassing exon(s) 5 of the GRIN2A gene. This deletion is out-of-frame, and is expected to create a premature termination codon and result in an absent or disrupted protein product. Loss-of-function variants in GRIN2A are known to be pathogenic (PMID: 23933819, 23933820). This variant has not been reported in the literature in individuals affected with GRIN2A-related conditions. For these reasons, this variant has been classified as Pathogenic.
