Uncertain significance for Hereditary thrombocytopenia and hematological cancer predisposition syndrome associated with RUNX1 — the classification assigned by Labcorp Genetics (formerly Invitae), Labcorp to NC_000021.8:g.(?_36164426)_(36231881_?)dup, citing Invitae Variant Classification Sherloc (09022015): This variant is a gross duplication of the genomic region encompassing exons 6-9 of the RUNX1 gene. The 5' boundary is likely confined to intron 5. The 3' end of this event is unknown as it extends beyond the assayed region for this gene and therefore may encompass additional genes. The exact location of this variant in the genome is unknown. Gross deletion of exons 6-9 has not been reported in the literature in individuals with RUNX1-related disease. In summary, the available evidence is currently insufficient to determine the role of this variant in disease. Therefore, it has been classified as a Variant of Uncertain Significance.
