Pathogenic for CHARGE syndrome — the classification assigned by Labcorp Genetics (formerly Invitae), Labcorp to NC_000008.11:g.(?_60741413)_(60865953_?)del, citing Invitae Variant Classification Sherloc (09022015): A gross deletion of the genomic region encompassing the full coding sequence of the CHD7 gene has been identified. The boundaries of this event are unknown as the deletion extends beyond the assayed region for this gene and therefore may encompass additional genes. A similar gross deletion of the entire CHD7 coding sequence has been reported in an individual affected with CHARGE syndrome (PMID: 21158681). Loss-of-function variants in CHD7 are known to be pathogenic (PMID: 22461308, 25077900). For these reasons, this variant has been classified as Pathogenic.
