Pathogenic for Primary ciliary dyskinesia — the classification assigned by Labcorp Genetics (formerly Invitae), Labcorp to NC_000003.12:g.(?_180652143)_(180652286_?)del, citing Invitae Variant Classification Sherloc (09022015): For these reasons, this variant has been classified as Pathogenic. Loss-of-function variants in CCDC39 are known to be pathogenic (PMID: 21131972, 23255504). Deletion of exon 8 has not been reported in the literature in individuals with CCDC39-related disease. This variant is an out-of-frame deletion of the genomic region encompassing exon 8 of the CCDC39 gene. This is expected to create a premature translational stop signal and result in an absent or disrupted protein product.
