Uncertain significance — the classification assigned by Women's Health and Genetics/Laboratory Corporation of America, LabCorp to NM_000535.6(PMS2):c.904-?_988+?dup, citing LabCorp Variant Classification Summary - May 2015: Variant Summary: This variant involves the duplication of exon 9 in PMS2. This duplication, to our knowledge, has not been reported in the literature or databases, and is too large to detect in population databases such as ExAC or ESP. Exon 9 has high homology with PMS2 pseudogene, and it is therefore difficult to distinguish between the two. Because of the absence of clinical information and the lack of functional studies, the variant was classified as a variant of uncertain significance (VUS) until additional information becomes available.
