Uncertain significance — the classification assigned by Ambry Genetics to NM_001386125.1(OBSCN):c.7648G>A (p.Val2550Met), citing Ambry Variant Classification Scheme 2023: The p.V2175M variant (also known as c.6523G>A), located in coding exon 23 of the OBSCN gene, results from a G to A substitution at nucleotide position 6523. The valine at codon 2175 is replaced by methionine, an amino acid with highly similar properties. This amino acid position is conserved. In addition, this alteration is predicted to be tolerated by in silico analysis. Based on the available evidence, the clinical significance of this variant remains unclear.
