Single allele was classified as Uncertain significance for Inborn genetic diseases by Ambry Genetics, citing Ambry Variant Classification Scheme 2023: The c.335G>C (p.R112P) alteration is located in exon 2 (coding exon 2) of the TFAP2A gene. This alteration results from a G to C substitution at nucleotide position 335, causing the arginine (R) at amino acid position 112 to be replaced by a proline (P). This variant was not reported in population-based cohorts in the Genome Aggregation Database (gnomAD). Based on insufficient or conflicting evidence, the clinical significance of this alteration remains unclear.
