This variant lies in the DNAH11 gene (transcript NM_001277115.2) at the canonical splice acceptor site of the intron immediately before coding-DNA position 13304, where A is replaced by G; at the protein level this means a change at this position may disrupt normal splicing. Submitter rationale: This sequence change affects acceptor splice site in intron 81 of the DNAH11 gene. While this variant is not anticipated to result in nonsense mediated decay, it likely alters RNA splicing and results in a disrupted protein product. This variant is not present in population databases (gnomAD no frequency). Disruption of this splice site has been observed in individual(s) with primary ciliary dyskinesia (PMID: 29363216).
