Pathogenic — the classification assigned by Labcorp Genetics (formerly Invitae), Labcorp to NM_001983.4(ERCC1):c.208G>T (p.Glu70Ter), citing Invitae Variant Classification Sherloc (09022015): This sequence change creates a premature translational stop signal (p.Glu70*) in the ERCC1 gene. It is expected to result in an absent or disrupted protein product. Loss-of-function variants in ERCC1 are known to be pathogenic (PMID: 17273966, 23623389, 33315086). This variant is not present in population databases (gnomAD no frequency). This variant has not been reported in the literature in individuals affected with ERCC1-related conditions. For these reasons, this variant has been classified as Pathogenic.
