This variant has not been reported in the literature in individuals with a ALK-related disease. This variant is not present in population databases (ExAC no frequency). This sequence change affects a donor splice site in intron 26 of the ALK gene. It is expected to disrupt RNA splicing and likely results in an absent or disrupted protein product. The current clinical and genetic evidence is not sufficient to establish whether loss-of-function variants in ALK cause disease. In summary, this variant has uncertain impact on ALK function.
