Several computational tools predict a significant impact on normal splicing: Two predict the variant weakens a canonical 5' donor site, one predicts the variant abolishes a canonical 5' splicing donor site, two predict the variant strengthens a cryptic 5' donor site, and 1 predicts the variant creates a cryptic 5' donor site. However, these predictions have yet to be confirmed by functional studies. The variant was absent in 251086 control chromosomes.
