Pathogenic for 3-methylcrotonyl-CoA carboxylase 2 deficiency — the classification assigned by Labcorp Genetics (formerly Invitae), Labcorp to NC_000005.10:g.(?_71626620)_(71649273_?)del, citing Invitae Variant Classification Sherloc (09022015): This variant is a gross deletion of the genomic region encompassing exon(s) 7-14 of the MCCC2 gene. This deletion is out-of-frame, and is expected to create a premature termination codon and result in an absent or disrupted protein product. Loss-of-function variants in MCCC2 are known to be pathogenic (PMID: 11181649, 22642865). This variant has not been reported in the literature in individuals affected with MCCC2-related conditions. For these reasons, this variant has been classified as Pathogenic.
