Pathogenic for Nance-Horan syndrome — the classification assigned by Labcorp Genetics (formerly Invitae), Labcorp to NC_000023.11:g.(?_17692315)_(17692488_?)del, citing Invitae Variant Classification Sherloc (09022015): For these reasons, this variant has been classified as Pathogenic. A similar copy number variant has been observed in individual(s) with clinical features of Nance-Horan syndrome (Invitae). This variant is a gross deletion of the genomic region encompassing exon(s) 3 of the NHS gene. This deletion is out-of-frame, and is expected to create a premature termination codon and result in an absent or disrupted protein product. Loss-of-function variants in NHS are known to be pathogenic (PMID: 14564667, 19414485).
