Uncertain significance for Inborn genetic diseases — the classification assigned by Ambry Genetics to NM_020774.4(MIB1):c.503A>G (p.Gln168Arg), citing Ambry Variant Classification Scheme 2023: The p.Q168R variant (also known as c.503A>G), located in coding exon 3 of the MIB1 gene, results from an A to G substitution at nucleotide position 503. The glutamine at codon 168 is replaced by arginine, an amino acid with highly similar properties. This amino acid position is conserved. In addition, the in silico prediction for this alteration is inconclusive. Based on the available evidence, the clinical significance of this variant remains unclear.
