Pathogenic for Hereditary breast ovarian cancer syndrome — the classification assigned by Labcorp Genetics (formerly Invitae), Labcorp to NC_000013.10:g.(?_32913706)_(32934992_?)dup, citing Invitae Variant Classification Sherloc (09022015): This variant is a gross duplication of the genomic region encompassing a portion of exon 11 through exon 16 of the BRCA2 gene (c.5214_7806-1668dup). The duplicated copy of this region is in tandem and may result in an absent or disrupted protein product. For these reasons, this variant has been classified as Pathogenic. While this particular duplication has not been reported in the literature, loss-of-function variants in BRCA2 are known to be pathogenic (PMID: 20104584).
