Uncertain significance for Inborn genetic diseases — the classification assigned by Ambry Genetics to NM_004629.2(FANCG):c.70G>T (p.Val24Phe), citing Ambry Variant Classification Scheme 2023: The p.V24F variant (also known as c.70G>T), located in coding exon 1 of the FANCG gene, results from a G to T substitution at nucleotide position 70. The valine at codon 24 is replaced by phenylalanine, an amino acid with highly similar properties. This amino acid position is conserved. In addition, this alteration is predicted to be deleterious by in silico analysis. Based on the available evidence, the clinical significance of this variant remains unclear.
