NM_014679.5(CEP57):c.1205A>G (p.Glu402Gly) was classified as Uncertain significance for Inborn genetic diseases by Ambry Genetics, citing Ambry Variant Classification Scheme 2023: The p.E402G variant (also known as c.1205A>G), located in coding exon 10 of the CEP57 gene, results from an A to G substitution at nucleotide position 1205. The glutamic acid at codon 402 is replaced by glycine, an amino acid with similar properties. This amino acid position is conserved. In addition, the in silico prediction for this alteration is inconclusive. Based on the available evidence, the clinical significance of this variant remains unclear.
