Pathogenic for Fanconi anemia — the classification assigned by Labcorp Genetics (formerly Invitae), Labcorp to NC_000016.9:g.(?_89831292)_(89833651_?)del, citing Invitae Variant Classification Sherloc (09022015): For these reasons, this variant has been classified as Pathogenic. Loss-of-function variants in FANCA are known to be pathogenic (PMID: 19367192). This variant has not been reported in the literature in individuals with FANCA-related disease. This variant is an out-of-frame deletion of the genomic region encompassing exons 27-28 of the FANCA gene. This creates a premature translational stop signal and is expected to result in an absent or disrupted protein product.
