NC_000003.11:g.(?_180369169)_(180369341_?)dup was classified as Pathogenic for Primary ciliary dyskinesia by Labcorp Genetics (formerly Invitae), Labcorp, citing Invitae Variant Classification Sherloc (09022015): This variant has not been reported in the literature in individuals with a CCDC39-related disease. However, it has been observed with a pathogenic variant (c.610-2A>G) in CCDC39 in an individual with primary ciliary dyskinesia (Invitae). While it is unknown if these two variants are on the same or opposite chromosomes, this observation suggests that the duplication of this exon may contribute to the cause of disease. For these reasons, this variant has been classified as Pathogenic. This variant is a gross duplication of the genomic region encompassing exon 9 of the CCDC39 gene. While the exact position of the duplicated exon cannot be determined from this data, the duplicated copy of this region is likely in tandem and may result in an absent or disrupted protein product.
