Pathogenic — the classification assigned by GeneDx to NM_024529.5(CDC73):c.85G>T (p.Glu29Ter), citing GeneDx Variant Classification (06012015): The E29X nonsense variant in the CDC73 gene has previously been reported in association with hyperparathyroidism-jaw tumor syndrome (Abdulla et al., 2013; Bricaire et al., 2013). This variant is predicted to cause loss of normal protein function either through protein truncation or nonsense-mediated mRNA decay. Based on currently available evidence, we consider E29X to be pathogenic.
