Submitter rationale: The p.Asn1131Ser variant in FBN1 has been reported in 1 Caucasian individual wit h Marfan syndrome, was found to have occurred de novo, and segregated with disea se in 1 affected relative (Lerner-Ellis 2014, LMM data, pers. comm.). It has not been identified in large population studies. Additional amino acid changes at t his position (p.Asn1131Tyr, p.Asn1131Lys) were identified in at least 2 individu als with Marfan syndrome (Godfrey 1995, Wang 1997, Stheneur 2009).
