Uncertain significance for Von Hippel-Lindau syndrome; Chuvash polycythemia — the classification assigned by Labcorp Genetics (formerly Invitae), Labcorp to NC_000003.11:g.(?_10191471)_(10195354_?)dup, citing Invitae Variant Classification Sherloc (09022015): This variant is a gross duplication of the genomic region encompassing exon 3 of the VHL gene. The 5' boundary is likely confined to intron 2. The 3' end of this event is unknown as it extends beyond the assayed region for this gene and therefore may encompass additional genes. Duplications of exon 3 have not been reported in the literature in individuals with a VHL-related disease. In summary, the exact genomic location of this variant is unknown and the impact of this duplication on VHL protein function has not been established. Therefore, it has been classified as a Variant of Uncertain Significance.
