Pathogenic for Primary ciliary dyskinesia — the classification assigned by Labcorp Genetics (formerly Invitae), Labcorp to NC_000015.10:g.(?_55450222)_(55450367_?)del, citing Invitae Variant Classification Sherloc (09022015): This variant is a gross deletion of the genomic region encompassing exon 6 of the DYX1C1 gene. This creates a premature translational stop signal and is expected to result in an absent or disrupted protein product. While this particular deletion has not been reported in the literature, loss-of-function variants in DYX1C1 are known to be pathogenic (PMID: 23872636). For these reasons, this variant has been classified as Pathogenic.
