NM_001283009.2(RTEL1):c.100C>G (p.Gln34Glu) was classified as Uncertain significance for Inborn genetic diseases by Ambry Genetics, citing Ambry Variant Classification Scheme 2023: The p.Q34E variant (also known as c.100C>G), located in coding exon 1 of the RTEL1 gene, results from a C to G substitution at nucleotide position 100. The glutamine at codon 34 is replaced by glutamic acid, an amino acid with highly similar properties. This amino acid position is conserved. In addition, this alteration is predicted to be tolerated by in silico analysis. Based on the available evidence, the clinical significance of this variant remains unclear.
