NM_001283009.2(RTEL1):c.2465A>T (p.Gln822Leu) was classified as Uncertain significance for Inborn genetic diseases by Ambry Genetics, citing Ambry Variant Classification Scheme 2023: The p.Q822L variant (also known as c.2465A>T), located in coding exon 26 of the RTEL1 gene, results from an A to T substitution at nucleotide position 2465. The glutamine at codon 822 is replaced by leucine, an amino acid with dissimilar properties. This amino acid position is conserved. In addition, this alteration is predicted to be tolerated by in silico analysis. Based on the available evidence, the clinical significance of this variant remains unclear.
