Submitter rationale: The p.Q576* pathogenic mutation (also known as c.1726C>T), located in coding exon 16 of the NF1 gene, results from a C to T substitution at nucleotide position 1726. This changes the amino acid from a glutamine to a stop codon within coding exon 16. This alteration has been observed in individuals meeting the NIH diagnostic criteria for neurofibromatosis type1 (Maruoka R et al. Genet Test Mol Biomarkers, 2014 Nov;18:722-35; G&uuml;ne N et al.
