NM_000492.4(CFTR):c.1449G>T (p.Lys483Asn) was classified as Uncertain significance for Cystic fibrosis by Ambry Genetics, citing Ambry Variant Classification Scheme 2023: The p.K483N variant (also known as c.1449G>T), located in coding exon 11 of the CFTR gene, results from a G to T substitution at nucleotide position 1449. The lysine at codon 483 is replaced by asparagine, an amino acid with similar properties. This amino acid position is conserved. In addition, the in silico prediction for this alteration is inconclusive. Based on the available evidence, the clinical significance of this variant remains unclear.
