Uncertain significance — the classification assigned by Ambry Genetics to NM_006506.5(RASA2):c.571T>A (p.Cys191Ser), citing Ambry Variant Classification Scheme 2023: The p.C191S variant (also known as c.571T>A), located in coding exon 6 of the RASA2 gene, results from a T to A substitution at nucleotide position 571. The cysteine at codon 191 is replaced by serine, an amino acid with dissimilar properties. This amino acid position is conserved. In addition, the in silico prediction for this alteration is inconclusive. Based on the available evidence, the clinical significance of this variant remains unclear.
