Submitter rationale: The c.6790dupT pathogenic mutation, located in coding exon 45 of the NF1 gene, results from a duplication of T at nucleotide position 6790, causing a translational frameshift with a predicted alternate stop codon (p.Y2264Lfs*22). This variant was reported in individual(s) with features consistent with neurofibromatosis type 1 (Bianchessi D et al. Mol Genet Genomic Med. 2015 Nov;3:513-25).
