NM_004629.2(FANCG):c.76C>G (p.Gln26Glu) was classified as Uncertain significance for Inborn genetic diseases by Ambry Genetics, citing Ambry Variant Classification Scheme 2023: The p.Q26E variant (also known as c.76C>G), located in coding exon 1 of the FANCG gene, results from a C to G substitution at nucleotide position 76. The glutamine at codon 26 is replaced by glutamic acid, an amino acid with highly similar properties. This amino acid position is conserved. In addition, the in silico prediction for this alteration is inconclusive. Based on the available evidence, the clinical significance of this variant remains unclear.
