Uncertain significance for Inborn genetic diseases — the classification assigned by Ambry Genetics to NM_001283009.2(RTEL1):c.211A>G (p.Lys71Glu), citing Ambry Variant Classification Scheme 2023: The p.K71E variant (also known as c.211A>G), located in coding exon 2 of the RTEL1 gene, results from an A to G substitution at nucleotide position 211. The lysine at codon 71 is replaced by glutamic acid, an amino acid with similar properties. This amino acid position is conserved. In addition, the in silico prediction for this alteration is inconclusive. Based on the available evidence, the clinical significance of this variant remains unclear.
