Submitter rationale: This sequence change replaces lysine, which is basic and polar, with asparagine, which is neutral and polar, at codon 1082 of the COL4A5 protein (p.Lys1082Asn). This variant also falls at the last nucleotide of exon 36, which is part of the consensus splice site for this exon. This variant is not present in population databases (gnomAD no frequency). This missense change has been observed in individual(s) with Alport syndrome (Invitae).
