NM_001277115.2(DNAH11):c.1572C>A (p.Asp524Glu) was classified as Uncertain significance for Primary ciliary dyskinesia by Ambry Genetics, citing Ambry Variant Classification Scheme 2023: The p.D524E variant (also known as c.1572C>A), located in coding exon 8 of the DNAH11 gene, results from a C to A substitution at nucleotide position 1572. The aspartic acid at codon 524 is replaced by glutamic acid, an amino acid with highly similar properties. This amino acid position is conserved. In addition, this alteration is predicted to be tolerated by in silico analysis. Based on the available evidence, the clinical significance of this variant remains unclear.
