Submitter rationale: The p.C72Y variant (also known as c.215G>A), located in coding exon 2 of the CDKN2A gene, results from a G to A substitution at nucleotide position 215. The cysteine at codon 72 is replaced by tyrosine, an amino acid with highly dissimilar properties. Of note, this alteration is also known as c.258G>A (p.L86L)in the p14(ARF) isoform.
