Uncertain significance for Cardiovascular phenotype — the classification assigned by Ambry Genetics to NM_006440.5(TXNRD2):c.1190C>T (p.Thr397Met), citing Ambry Variant Classification Scheme 2023: The p.T397M variant (also known as c.1190C>T), located in coding exon 14 of the TXNRD2 gene, results from a C to T substitution at nucleotide position 1190. The threonine at codon 397 is replaced by methionine, an amino acid with similar properties. This amino acid position is conserved. In addition, this alteration is predicted to be deleterious by in silico analysis. Based on the available evidence, the clinical significance of this variant remains unclear.
