NM_001283009.2(RTEL1):c.1983G>C (p.Gln661His) was classified as Uncertain significance for Inborn genetic diseases by Ambry Genetics, citing Ambry Variant Classification Scheme 2023: The p.Q661H variant (also known as c.1983G>C), located in coding exon 22 of the RTEL1 gene, results from a G to C substitution at nucleotide position 1983. The glutamine at codon 661 is replaced by histidine, an amino acid with highly similar properties. This amino acid position is conserved. In addition, the in silico prediction for this alteration is inconclusive. Based on the available evidence, the clinical significance of this variant remains unclear.
