NM_001184.4(ATR):c.3587G>C (p.Trp1196Ser) was classified as Uncertain significance for Inborn genetic diseases by Ambry Genetics, citing Ambry Variant Classification Scheme 2023: The p.W1196S variant (also known as c.3587G>C), located in coding exon 19 of the ATR gene, results from a G to C substitution at nucleotide position 3587. The tryptophan at codon 1196 is replaced by serine, an amino acid with highly dissimilar properties. This amino acid position is conserved. In addition, this alteration is predicted to be deleterious by in silico analysis. Based on the available evidence, the clinical significance of this variant remains unclear.
