Uncertain significance — the classification assigned by Ambry Genetics to NM_002907.4(RECQL):c.814G>C (p.Glu272Gln), citing Ambry Variant Classification Scheme 2023: The p.E272Q variant (also known as c.814G>C), located in coding exon 6 of the RECQL gene, results from a G to C substitution at nucleotide position 814. The glutamic acid at codon 272 is replaced by glutamine, an amino acid with highly similar properties. This amino acid position is conserved. In addition, this alteration is predicted to be tolerated by in silico analysis. Based on the available evidence, the clinical significance of this alteration remains unclear.
