Pathogenic for Peutz-Jeghers syndrome — the classification assigned by Labcorp Genetics (formerly Invitae), Labcorp to NC_000019.10:g.(?_1218407)_(1223182_?)del, citing Invitae Variant Classification Sherloc (09022015): For these reasons, this variant has been classified as Pathogenic. A similar copy number variant has been observed in individual(s) with Peutz-Jeghers syndrome (PJS) (PMID: 21520333). This variant is a gross deletion of the genomic region encompassing exon(s) 2-8 of the STK11 gene. This deletion is out-of-frame, and is expected to create a premature termination codon and result in an absent or disrupted protein product. Loss-of-function variants in STK11 are known to be pathogenic (PMID: 15188174, 16287113).
