NC_000020.10:g.(?_10385895)_(10394162_?)del was classified as Pathogenic for McKusick-Kaufman syndrome; Bardet-Biedl syndrome by Labcorp Genetics (formerly Invitae), Labcorp, citing Invitae Variant Classification Sherloc (09022015): For these reasons, this variant has been classified as Pathogenic. This variant has not been reported in the literature in individuals affected with MKKS-related conditions. A gross deletion of the genomic region encompassing the full coding sequence of the MKKS gene has been identified. Loss-of-function variants in MKKS are known to be pathogenic (PMID: 11179009, 28761321, 30614526). The boundaries of this event are unknown as they extend beyond the assayed region for this gene and therefore may encompass additional genes.
