Pathogenic for Hypokalemic periodic paralysis, type 1; Malignant hyperthermia, susceptibility to, 5 — the classification assigned by Labcorp Genetics (formerly Invitae), Labcorp to NC_000001.10:g.(?_201041873)_(201045757_?)del, citing Invitae Variant Classification Sherloc (09022015): For these reasons, this variant has been classified as Pathogenic. This variant has not been reported in the literature in individuals affected with CACNA1S-related conditions. This variant is a gross deletion of the genomic region encompassing exon(s) 13-16 of the CACNA1S gene. This deletion is out-of-frame, and is expected to create a premature termination codon and result in an absent or disrupted protein product. Loss-of-function variants in CACNA1S are known to be pathogenic (PMID: 26247046, 28012042).
