Pathogenic for Chédiak-Higashi syndrome — the classification assigned by Labcorp Genetics (formerly Invitae), Labcorp to NC_000001.10:g.(?_235840371)_(235860592_?)del, citing Invitae Variant Classification Sherloc (09022015): This variant is a gross deletion of the genomic region encompassing exon(s) 46-50 of the LYST gene. This deletion is out-of-frame, and is expected to create a premature termination codon and result in an absent or disrupted protein product. Loss-of-function variants in LYST are known to be pathogenic (PMID: 9215679, 11857544). This variant has not been reported in the literature in individuals affected with LYST-related conditions. For these reasons, this variant has been classified as Pathogenic.
