Pathogenic for Chédiak-Higashi syndrome — the classification assigned by Labcorp Genetics (formerly Invitae), Labcorp to NC_000001.10:g.(?_235275379)_(236899040_?)del, citing Invitae Variant Classification Sherloc (09022015): For these reasons, this variant has been classified as Pathogenic. This variant has not been reported in the literature in individuals affected with LYST-related conditions. A gross deletion of the genomic region encompassing the full coding sequence of the LYST gene has been identified. Loss-of-function variants in LYST are known to be pathogenic (PMID: 9215679, 11857544). The boundaries of this event are unknown as they extend beyond the assayed region for this gene and therefore may encompass additional genes.
